Earn a Two-Year Degree in One Year

Did you know you can earn a college transfer degree completely online – and in just one year?

Wilson Community College has two fast track options for college transfer students.  So, what does that mean?  By enrolling in either the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science fast track program for Fall 2023, you can complete your degree in just one year before transferring to a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree.  Altogether, you can complete the fast track college transfer degree program and the bachelor’s degree program in as little as three years.  One of the best things about this fast track is that all courses are completely online.

By choosing to enroll in the College Transfer degree fast track option at WCC, you will save both time and money in furthering your education. This means you will earn a two-year degree in just one year, with the option to move on to a four-year degree in half the time.  This is perfect for new high school graduates who wish to take their general education courses with focused learning due to smaller class sizes, and then transfer to a four-year college or university to complete their bachelor’s degree.  This is also perfect for working adults who have always wanted to earn a bachelor’s degree but don’t have the time to attend classes on campus or who don’t wish to spend two years working on their associate’s degree.  Another bonus is that some of the general education classes even offer free textbooks!  It doesn’t get better than that!

Students will take courses every eight weeks for one year, beginning in the fall semester.  All you have to do is complete each course with at least a C or better and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, and you’ll be eligible to transfer to one of the four-year institutions of the University of North Carolina College System or to one of the private Signatory Institutions of North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities as a junior.

Registration opens April 3!  For more information about the fast track opportunity, contact Dr. Sheril Roberts, Dean of College Transfer and Public Services, at sroberts@wilsoncc.edu or (252) 246-1309, or Britney Smith, English Instructor/College Transfer Advising Coordinator, at besmith@wilsoncc.edu or (252) 246-1280. #WilsonCC We make Wilson work.
