National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC)

Individuals who successfully complete the WorkKeys Assessments in Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents will earn the WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate® (WorkKeys NCRC®). This nationally recognized credential validates essential workplace skills and is awarded at four levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

Career Skeeker - Document your skillsWorkKeys is a job skills assessment system measuring “real world” skills that employers believe are critical to job success. These skills are valuable for any occupation and at any level of education. When you use WorkKeys to show you are ready to work, you have an advantage with employers who accept or require job applicants to have WorkKeys scores. A growing number of local companies and businesses and states are adopting WorkKeys to ensure that all their workers have needed skills.

National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) Testing Information

Scheduling: 

Assessment Fees: 

  • NCRC Certificate Assessment: $36
  • Individual Single Assessment: $12

Payment & Testing Details: Testing fees must be paid in advance at the cashier’s office, either in person at Building F or by calling 252-246-1259. Payments must be made before your scheduled test date. 

Day of Testing: 

  • Arrive at the designated classroom 15 minutes prior to your scheduled test.
  • Late arrivals will not be permitted once testing has begun.
  • Bring a copy of your payment receipt on the day of testing.

Weather Update
